Funeral services for Mr. Evert Coleman Walker, age 75, of Livingston will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2009 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Nolan Cantrell and Bro. Mike White officiating. Burial will be in the Carter Bilbrey Cemetery in Livingston. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 until 9 p.m. and until 9 p.m. on Wednesday.Mr. Walker died June 15, 2009 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 9, 1934 in Overton County to the late Lonzo and Bethel Shelton Walker. He was a farmer.He attended the Refuge Church.He is survived by 4 sons, Larry Jennifer Walker, Gary Helen Walker, Billy Yvette Walker, and Roger Rita Walker, all of Livingston; step-daughter, Stella Jean Brown of Livingston; 2 brothers, Clarence Walker of Livingston and Wayne Walker of California; 5 sisters, Coleen Hogue, Cassie Brown, Clara Norrod, Carol Sue Bull, all of Livingston, and Wanda Bilbrey of Cookeville; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Opal Hammock Walker, 3 brothers: Clinton, Carlos, Clayton Walker, and a sister: Christene Howard.Pallbearers to serve are Larry, Gary, Billy, Roger, Dustin, Steven, Derek, Kyle, Devin, Jackson, Lucas Walker.
