William Henry Weisshahn

William Henry Weisshahn, of Rhinelander, WI, died Sunday, May 10, 2009 at his home in the care of his family and Aspirus Comfort Care. He was 60 years old

He was born, December 5, 1948 in Antigo, WI, son of Henry Weisshahn of Antigo and the late Bessie (Knapek) Weisshahn.

He married Mary Rethaber on Oct 12, 1974 at Merrill. She survives.

A 1967 graduate of Antigo High School, he served in the United States Air Force in Thailand during the Viet Nam War. He was discharged in 1972 as a E-5.

Bill completed a four year electrician apprenticeship program and he worked for Precision Twist Drill Company in Rhinelander for 30 years as an electrician. He also worked as an electrician for American Plastics in Rhinelander. In addition to his family, he enjoyed his tree farm, and hunting.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Weisshahn, two daughters, Cora June Weisshahn, Rothschild, Rebecca Ann (Lance) Hollister, Eau Claire, a sister, Maryann Rethaber, Gleason, a grandchild to be born in October, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Bradley Funeral Home, May 14, 2009 at 10 a.m. with Rev. John Eldred officiating.

Interment will follow in the Forest View Cemetery, Town of Vilas. Antigo Veterans will conduct Military Honors at the cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 13, 2009, from 3:30 to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home, Hwy 45, Antigo.
