Fred F. Parise, of Elcho, died Monday, May 18, 2009 in Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center. He was 85 years old

He was born July 4, 1923 in Argonne, WI, son of the late Luigi and Mary (Knuth) Parise..

He married Bonnie Rine on May 28, 1949 in Elcho. She preceded him in death on March 23, 2007.
He was raised in Elcho, attending schools in Elcho. During WWll he served with the 32nd Division in the South Pacific. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Following military service. He was a logger and woodsman, and was employed by the Elcho Fur Farm and the Town of Elcho for a few years. He was the Elcho Constable, enjoyed fishing musky, and playing baseball.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathy Parise, Crandon, Janet Hightree, Elcho, six sons, Gary Parise, Elcho, David Parise, Elcho, John (Marla) Parise, Elcho, Ken Parise, Wausau, Edward (Kelly) Parise, Rhinelander, Richard Parise, Sheboygan, 10 grandchildren, Jennifer (James) Crawford, Eric (Janis) Theilman, Jason Parise, Heather Parise, Stacy Groat, Clayton Hightree, Morgan Parise, Jared Parise, Steven Parise, Jacob Parise, nine great grandchildren, Dillon, Emily, Rhea, Micasslyn, Ivy, Elizabeth, Brad, Abby, and Sienna and a sister, Alma Parise, Antigo, ; .
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by five sisters Edith Gokey and Josephine Penzenstadler, Goldie LaPorte, Hattie Fisher and May Fern, and four brothers, George, Louis, Ralph, and Charlie

Services will be held at Bradley Funeral Home, Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jack LaMar officiating.

Interment and Military Honors will follow in the Elcho Cemetery .

Visitation will be Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
