AL BONNER
December 6, 1929 - June 11, 2012

Services for Mr. Allison Maloye "Al" Bonner, age 82, of Cookeville will be conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2012 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Rev. Al Gaspard officiating. Burial will be in the Fellowship Cemetery in Allons where there will be a military service provided by the Honor Guard from the James T. Davis Memorial Post 5062 of the VFW in Livingston. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. till time for services at 1 p.m.Mr. Bonner died June 11, 2012 at Bethesda Health Care Center in Cookeville. He was born December 6, 1929 in Alabama but was raised in Lawrence County, TN to the late Willie Lake and Flora Lee Bass Bonner. He was a retired truck driver.He was a member of Colonial View Baptist Church in Cookeville, veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, and member of the Local Teamsters #480.He is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Bonner of Cookeville; daughters, Cindy Anderson of Charlotte, TN, Donna Hall of White House, TN, Janet Shaver of Ardmore, TN, Kathy England of Sparta, Robyn Tipton of Jamestown, Annette Blair of Cookeville, Allyson Keller of Suwanee, GA; son, Eddie Arney of Fairview, TN; sisters, Ruth Nix of Lawrenceburg, TN, Barbara Smith of Decatur, AL, Rebecca Sharp of Ethridge, TN; brothers, Tom Bonner of Tullahoma, TN and Wayne Bonner of Huntsville, AL; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild.He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, James Grant Bonner, Vernon Clyce Bonner, William Doyle Bonner;sister, Zella Dworkin; and 2 grandchildren, Tammy England and Bradley Elliott Arney.Serving as pallbearers are Andy Winningham, Brandon Arney, Dale Lindsey, Dustin Arney, Jordan Hall, Bryant Tipton, Oliver Arney, Nathaniel Keller.Memorial Contributions may be made to Magnolia Place by contacting First United Methodist Church in Cookeville.
