Genevieve Boyle
July 14, 1922 - June 27, 2009

Genevieve Margaret Drew Boyle, of Deerbrook, died Saturday, June 27, 2009 in care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 86 years old.

She was born July 14, 1922 in Gleason, the daughter of the late Ralph and Hattie (Wetzel) Drew.
She married Floyd Thomas Boyle on January 3, 1946 in Antigo. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1983.

She graduated from the Drew Grade School in Bloomville, attended Gleason High School, and graduated from Merrill High School with the class of 1940. In 1942, she graduated from Lincoln County Normal School. She received her bachelors degree from University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point in 1959. She began teaching at Maple Grove School in Lincoln County. In Langlade County, she taught in the Antigo Unified School District. She taught for 44 years, retiring in 1987 from East Elementary School. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Altar Guild, and Ladies Aid. She was a member and officer in the following organizations: Langlade County Retired Teachers Association, Northwoods Lioness Club, Bridgerunners Snowmobile Club, and the Tuesday Swim Group. She enjoyed traveling, snowmobiling, and music. She treasured her faith, family, and friends.

Surviving are a son, James Drew (Barb) Boyle, Menasha; two grandchildren, Graig (Rebecca) Boyle, Kaukauna, Melinda (Dustin) Dunaway, Appleton; five great-granddaughters, Seriena, Grace, Kyla Drew, Hope, and Lillian; and a brother, Howard (Lorraine) Drew, Berrien Springs, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters Arlene Schenk and Marion Strandberg, and a brother Andrew Stark.

Funeral services will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Deerbrook, Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jerome Hahn officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Queen of Peace Cemetery, Antigo.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 30, 2009 from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and from 9 to 10 a.m.at the church.
