Daniel O Matson
February 2, 1943 - July 1, 2009

Daniel Matson, of Deerbrook, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at his home with his family at his side. He was 66 years old. He was born on February 2, 1943 in Antigo, to Oscar and Adeline (Kadow) Matson. He married Phyllis Bishop on July 9, 1966 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wittenberg.
She preceded him in death on March 31, 1993.

He was employed at J. W. Mattek and Sons Potato Farms for 40 years having retired in 1999. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, hunting, fishing and crossword puzzles. When traveling he was known to look for the back roads and take the long road home.

Survivors include his daughter, Melanie Matson, Deerbrook, special friend Cathy Randel and her three children Terry, Tammy, and Laurie all of Antigo, three sisters, Carol Matson, Wittenberg, Jacquline Pukall, Birnamwood, Donna (Jim) Kozlovsky, Birnamwood, two brothers, Allen (Tina) Matson, Hanover, IL, Austin Matson, Wittenberg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother Duwayne Matson

Services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Deerbrook with Rev. Jerome Hahn officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and on Friday at the church one hour prior to services.
