Harold Holbrook
April 29, 1941 - July 12, 2009

Harold Holbrook, of White Lake, died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison. He was 68 years old. He was born on April 29, 1941 in Antigo, to the late Cecil Holbrook and Pearl (Adkins) Holbrook who survives. He married Jackie Tackett on at Four Corners Assembly of God Church in White Lake. She survives.

He worked for Walter Diercks Farms being the first in the area to operate a potato fan harvester. In 1970 he began a career in logging working for Menominee Tribal Enterprises retiring in 1989. He was a member of Faith Center Church of God and was an avid sportsman enjoying many successful hunting outings in Wisconsin and out West. The love of his life was his wife Jackie with whom he spent the past 49 years. He enjoyed time with his grandchildren and listening to Gospel Blue Grass Music and watching westerns on television.

Survivors including his wife and mother are two sons, Gene (Lorie) Holbrook, White Lake, Ricky (Maggie) Holbrook, White Lake, six grandchildren, one step granddaughter, five great grandchildren and one step great grandson, three brothers, Arthur (Delores) Holbrook, Antigo, Cecil (Janie) Holbrook, White Lake, Richard (Sandra) Holbrook, White Lake, and his mother-in-law, Leeota Tackett, Antigo.

Including his father he was preceded in death by a daughter Rebecca Lynn in infancy, 2 sons, Timothy and Kevin Holbrook, 1 brother, Johnny Holbrook, his father -in-law Thurman Tackett, and a step grandson Lance Cpl. Joshua Baker.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Center Church of God with Rev. Danny Pyeatt and Rev. Robert Kimberling officiating. Burial will take place in Langlade Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:30 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Bradley Funeral Home and Thurday at the church from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m..
