Veronica W. Peters, of Zoar, died inexpertly Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center in Antigo She was 75 years old. She was born Sept 15, 1933 in Keshena to the late William J. and Josephine (Hanks) Waupoose. She married Walter J. Peters, Sr on Feb 6, 1956 at Shawano. He
preceded in death on July 5, 1992

She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church,Neopit, the Devine-Menting American Legion Auxiliary, Phlox, She was born and lived her entire life on the Menominee Reservation. She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, gardening, watching the Green Bay Packers and going to the casino.

Survivors include her five daughters, Wanda L. Peters, Shawano, Wilda L. Peters, Neopit, Wilhemina F. Peters, Neopit, Willa M Peters, Keshena, Wiladean M Peters, Neopit, four sons, Warren J. Peters, Neopit, Willard J Peters, Keshena, Winston J Peters, Keshena, Waldon (Kathy) J. Peters, Sr, Neopit, six extended family members Betty Ann Wynos, Milwaukee, Karen Peters, Green Bay, Dawn Marie Thompson, Green Bay, Carmilla Root, Black River, Wayne (Lois) Peters, Black River, Gordon (Leona) James, Keshena, a sister-in-law, Melva Wilcox, Milwaukee, ; 16 grandchildren, Sherrey Barnes, Shawano, Jessi Rockman, Keshena, Trestarska Vele, Gresham, Princess Storm (Clark McGregor) Vele, Shawano, Fancy Vele, Gresham, Jasmine Peters, Neopit, Jerrett Peters, Neopit, Jeremy Peters, Keshena, Justine Peters, Keshena, Hunter Peters, Keshena, Tiffany Peters, Neopit, Waldon Peters, Jr., Neopit, Katelynn Peters, Neopit, Daniel King, Jr., Neopit,Lee Corn, Neopit, Shane Corn, Neopit , 18 great grandchildren,special nephews Andy, Jay, and Al Pyatsowit, Melvin Peters and other special nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, seven brothers and sisters, a son William Peters, Sr., two daughters Winifred and Wendeline Peters, a grandson William Peters, Jr.,

Services will be held on August 15, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. David Kiefer officiating. Burial will take place in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be August 13, 2009 Thursday at Veronica's home in Zoar after 3 p.m. A rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday and the visitation will conclude at 10 a.m. Saturday.
