Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Faye McDonald, age 62, of Livingston will be conducted at 3 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from the First Baptist Church in Livingston with Bro. John Preece & Bro. Derek Parsons officiating. Burial will be in the McDonald Family Cemetery in Alpine, TN. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday evening from 4 until 9 p.m. & on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until time of services.
Mrs. McDonald passed away August 16, 2014 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She was born December 5, 1951 in Putnam County to Velma Walker Ledbetter and the late Glenmore Ledbetter. She was an office manager at the Livingston Eye Center.
She was a member of the Highland Freewill Baptist Church, where she served as secretary for many years. She always enjoyed cooking for her family, spending time with her sisters, traveling, and spending time with her sons and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert R. McDonald of Livingston, Tn.; mother, Velma Ledbetter of Livingston, Tn.; sons; Robert Scott McDonald & wife Misty of Livingston, Tn., Gregory Neil McDonald & wife Jennifer of Cookeville, Tn., & Jeremy William McDonald & wife Aspen of Cookeville, Tn.; sisters, Ellen Kennedy of Rickman, Tn., Nina Crabtree & husband Max of Livingston, Tn., Mildred Melton & husband Roy Hugh of Monroe, Tn., & Anita Ledbetter of Livingston, Tn.; brothers, Dennis G. Ledbetter & wife Susan of Livingston, Tn., Donald Ledbetter & wife Peggy of Livingston, Tn., & Gary W. Ledbetter & wife Dianne of Livingston, Tn.; grandchildren, Lillian Clair, Addison Grace & Robert Lee McDonald.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenmore Ledbetter & brother, Freeman Dale Ledbetter.
Pallbearers to serve are Steve Kennedy, Jeff Kennedy, Michael Melton, Richard Melton, Brian Crabtree, Chris Ledbetter, David Ledbetter, Ryan Ledbetter & Alex Ledbetter.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland Cemetery Fund or the McDonald Family Cemetery.
