Ervin Rupple
March 5, 1919 - September 15, 2009

Ervin Rupple, of Elcho, died Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at his home under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. He was 90 years old. He was born on March 5, 1919 in Big Falls, Wisconsin to Louis and Otellia (Marks) Ruppel. He married Lucille Neu on September 7, 1940 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Goldendale, WI.
She preceded him in death on May 10, 2008.

As a young man he worked on the family farm and worked for A.O. Smith in Milwaukee during WWII. Mr Rupple moved from Germantown to Pelican Lake in 1945 where he worked as a carpenter and later became a master plumber. He moved to Elcho in 1974 and was a member of the Elcho-Pelican Lake Lions Club for 40 years. He loved fishing, hunting, and playing cards.

Survivors include four daughters, Gloria Hester, Cookeville, Tenn, Ann Slager, Palm Coast, Fla, Judy (Cliff) Smith, Elcho, Maryann (Rod) Halverson, Summit Lake, five sons, Ervin A. (Sandy) Rupple, Sun Prairie, George Rupple, Fond du lac, Alvin (Sue) Rupple, Summerdale, Ala, Alan (Joanne) Rupple, Wausau, Jerry (Terry) Rupple, Rhinelander, 28 grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, three sisters Carol Grossman, Appleton, Evelyn (Vernon) Rieckmann, Neenah, Karen (Eugene) Fischer, Marion, three brothers Milton (Ruth) Ruppel, Appleton, LeRoy (Irene) Ruppel, Dale, Donald Ruppel, Clintonville and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two sons in law, Jay Slager and Robert Hester, Sr. a daughter in law, Sharon Rupple, three grandchildren, Christine Meredith Smith, Kevin James Hester and Andrea Musson, three brothers Harry, Arlyn and John Ruppel, two sisters Donna Ruppel and Lillian Thill.

Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Jack LaMar officiating. Visitation will be Friday 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Saturday one hour prior to services.
