Janis Jordan, of Antigo, died Monday, November 23, 2009 at her home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 73 years old. She was born on August 7, 1936 in Elcho to Ormond and Ardis (Diemel) Jones. She married William Bill Jordan on October 20, 1956 at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. He survives.
Mrs. Jordan is a graduate of Elcho High School and a member of St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo. She valued her time working at Hunter's Super Market during the Christmas Season and Antigo Flower and Feed in the spring selling seed. She also enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and cooking.
Along with her husband, survivors include two sons Jim (Connie), Green Bay and Tim, Antigo; two daughters Julie and Jennie Jordan, both of Green Bay; 2 grandchildren, Jackson and Claire Jordan; two sisters Nancy Nadeau, Milwaukee and Cindy (John) Mrowinski, Elcho; special family friends Sherri Hunter and Terry Tourtillott; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at St. Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo at 11:00 am with Reverend Michael Betley officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 10:00 until the time of the memorial Mass. Bradley Funeral Home is assisting the family.
