A Private Graveside servie for Mr. Aaron Lamont Dorsey, age 94, of Livingston was conducted at the Overton County Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Dorsey passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at the Livingston Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Harrisburg, IL on August 21, 1922 to the late Orba & Bonnie Jewel Teal Dorsey.
Mr. Dorsey was a member of the greatest generation, having served his country in Okinawa during World War II. Following his servvices he worked for the BF Goodrich Company in Akron, Ohio. Mr. Dorsey loved fishing and flower gardening.
Survivors include a son, Michael Dorsey & wife Judy of Hartville, OH; daughters, Carol Gregg of Livingston, TN, Linda Drotos & husband Jim of Tampa, FL, Patsy Hickman of Tamarac, FL, Barbara Smith of Monroe, TN & Judy Dorsey of Summer Shade, KY; brother, Louie Dorsey of Dunnellon, FL; seventeen grandchildren & twenty-five great-grandchildren & two great great-grandchildren also a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 73 years, Katherine Cole Dorsey; grandson, Vincent Gregg & Shannon Magenau; sons-in-law, Victor Gregg, Kenneth Smith & Ron Hickman; brothers, Donald & Niles Dorsey.
Donations may be made in his honor to the St.Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
