C. William Bill Koelsch
April 18, 1923 - February 28, 2010

C. William Bill Koelsch, of Wausau, died Sunday, February 28, 2010 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice. He was 86 years old. He was born on April 18, 1923 in Chicago, IL a son of the late Clarence and Francis Koelsch. He married Jane Crum in October of 1953. She survives.

He attended Blaine Elementary School and graduated from Lane Tech High School in Chicago in 1941. He enjoyed the Navy for three years and then returned to Chicago. He was active in the North Shore Baptist Church, where he met his wife. They lived in Chicago until 1957 when they moved to Mt. Prospect, IL. In 1983 he and his family retired to Antigo and later moved to Wausau in 2006.

He had been active in the church choir and bowling leagues. He also belonged to an American Legion Post in Chicago, where he was on the baseball team.

Along with his wife survivors include a son Kevin Koelsch, Wausau; a brother-in-law George Schreiber and a nephew Charles Schreiber both of Florida.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Evelyn Schreiber and a nephew Barry Schreiber.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 PM at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. James Stevens officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
