Jeanette Gnacinski
April 25, 1922 - March 7, 2010

Jeanette Laura Gnacinski, of Antigo, died Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Eastview Medical & Rehabilitation Center. She was 87 years old. She was born on April 25, 1922 in Jackson a daughter of the late James and Retta (Cole) Harns. She married Eugene Mike Gnacinski on June 7, 1947 in West Bend. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1984.

Mrs. Gnacinski graduated from West Bend High School in 1940. She worked as a Telephone Operator for Bell Telephone Company for 7 years and for Kewaskum Telephone Company for 7 years. She also worked in the kitchen at Kewaskum High School. She and her husband moved to Antigo in 1972 were they owned Mike G's Kewaskum Inn. For 12 years she was the secretary of the Langlade County Tavern League and ran their bar alone after Mike died for 4 years. She was a foster grandmother at West Elementary for 18 years retiring last year. For 37 years she belonged to the Rolling Homemakers Club and the Wisconsin Homemakers Association. She enjoyed reading, fancy work and walking.

Survivors include a daughter Linda Gage, New Berlin; a daughter-in-law Patricia Gnacinski, Antigo; a sister Evelyn (Charles) Rinn, Port Washington; a brother Richard Harns of Port Washington; five grandchildren Kris (Mark) Gradian, Nicole Sellers, Jeri Nicholson, Bridgette (Nick) Lykins and Michael Gnacinski; a great grandson Ian Gradian; and many nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her two sons James Gnacinski and infant son Michael Gnacinski; infant granddaughter Rebecca; two sisters Edith Hicks and Dorothy Polenski; and sister-in-law Marjorie Harns.

Services will be held on Tuesday at 6:00 PM at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. A second visitation will be held on Monday, March 15 at Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Kewaskum.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
