Winifred Larsen
August 2, 1923 - May 19, 2010

Winifred Larsen, of Deerbrook, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Moss Flower Harbour in Mayville. She was 86 years old. She was born on August 2, 1923 in Milwaukee, a daughter of Edwin and Martha (Soik) Mosey. She married Elroy Larsen on December 6, 1941 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2006.

She was salutorian of the graduating class from West Division High School in 1941 and served as editor of the school newspaper.

While in Milwaukee she was a 4-H Leader and a member of the Milwaukee Rose Society.

In 1968 she moved to the town of Ackley where the family operated a farm.

Mrs. Larsen served on the Langlade County Board of Supervisors, and was chairman of the Langlade County Democartic Party and attended several Presidential inagurations.

She was a member of the North Central Regional Planning Commission and the Langalde County Commission on Aging.

She was a member of the Christian Science Church.

Survivors include three daughters Susan (Bruce) Bergeron, Delafield, Marge Larsen, Butler, Kathy Greenwood, San Diego, Calif; four sons Elroy Larsen Jr., Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Edward (Vickie) Larsen, Hartford, Ellis (Kim) Larsen, Milwaukee, Eric (Dawn) Larsen, Gleason, six grandchildren Brad, Susan, Jessica, Andrea, Melissa, Bryan; three great grandchildren Brianna, Jaden and Olivia.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two daughters Vickie and Sandra, two brothers, Norman and Alfred Mosey.

Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. James Stevens officiating. Burial will take place in Forestview Cemetery. Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
