Frank Krall
January 17, 1927 - July 10, 2010

Frank G. Krall, of Deerbrook, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 83 years old. He was born on January 17, 1927 in Aniwa, a son of Frank and Frances (Kremer) Krall. He married Marjorie DeJong on July 8, 1950 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Wausau. She survives. The couple recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

He was raised on the family farm near Aniwa and attended Eau Claire River Grade School. He was drafted into the United States Army during WWII where he served for two years in the 17th Field Artillery as a Sergeant .

After military service Mr. Krall worked at Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee for three years then moved to Wausau where he operated the Heiser Ready Mix Sand and Gravel plant. He then worked for Wergin Construction in Wausau as a mason and supervisor for 22 years. In 1972 he founded Krall's Masonry with his wife and son Dennis. They built many commercial buildings in the Wausau and Antigo area. He retired in 1988. He and his wife also owned K-4 Construction. He spent his summers on Lower Clear Lake in Langlade County and wintered in Mission, Texas.

He was a member of St. Wencel Catholic Church, Neva.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding motorcycles and four wheelers, pontoon boat rides and working in his shop.

Survivors including his wife are a daughter Judi (Michael) Loomis, Fort Wayne, Indiana, two sons Jerry (Donna) Krall, Wausau, Ray (Cindy) Krall, Wausau; two sisters Dorothy Calupnicek, Chicago, IL, Victoria Lenzner, Wausau; two brothers Martin Krall, Wausau, Kenneth (Joan) Krall, Deerfield; eight grandchildren Joe Krall, Wausau, Nicole (Mike) Kersten, Wausau, Adam Loomis of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Alison (Mike) Carter, Dan (Jenni) Krall, Jeni Crawford, Jamie Krall, Shaina Krall all of Wausau; eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son Dennis Krall, three sisters Agnes Rindfeisch, Marion Graham, Veronica Melius, a brother George Krall.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau with Rev. Michael E. Betley officiating. Entombment will take place in Restlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 3:30 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bradley Funeral Home with a parish wake service at 4:00 p.m. Visitation on Wednesday will be in Wausau at Restlawn Memorial Park from 9:30 - until the time of services.

A memorial is being established in Frank's name.
