Carol Fleischman
October 24, 1943 - July 11, 2010

Carol J. Fleischman, 66 of Antigo passed away peacefully from the loving arms of her family into the waiting arms of Christ on July 11, 2010 at Wausau Aspirus Hospital.
She was born in Antigo on October 24, 1943 a daughter of Mildred (Berndt) Welnetz of Antigo and the late Nick Welnetz.

After graduating with the AHS class of 1962, she married her high school sweetheart, Ken Fleischman on June 16, 1962 at St Hyacinth Catholic Church. Together they spent their lives in Langlade County where they raised their five children.

Music was a big part of Carol's life and she will always be remembered as a talented musician, playing accordion and singing in local establishments and for parties.

She was considered one of Antigo's premier bowlers, being voted by her peers as bowler of the decade for the 1970's. A homemaker all her life, she enjoyed fishing, golfing, crocheting, crafting ornaments, playing bingo, listening to her gospel CD's and playing with her faithful companions, Ollie and Schotzie.

She was especially proud of her grandchildren and all their accomplishments.

In addition to her loving husband of 48 years, she is survived by four daughters and a son; Cathy (Rob) Wild, Antigo; Rick (Sheri) Fleischman, Germantown; Denise (Curt) Hale, Antigo; Mikki (Kevin) Fronek, Schofield and Julie (Bob) Schofield, Brooklyn, WI; Eleven grandchildren, Craig (Fiancé Stacie Slocum) Wild, Sara (Jon) Radke, Blake and Megan Fleischman, Seth, Josh and Emma Hale, Dane and Signe Fronek, Abbie and Rachel Schofield. She is further survived by her mother and siblings, Peg Mikkelson, Jim Welnetz, Patty Wasielewski and Paula Marshall.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brothers, Phil and Bob Welnetz.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.Thursday at SS Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo with Reverend Michael Betley officiating. Burial will be in the Queen of Peace Cemetery, Antigo. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3:30 -8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9-10 a.m. A parish wake service will be held on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
Carol will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
