Clifford Snuffy Smith
April 8, 1946 - July 12, 2010

Clifford Snuffy Smith, of Elcho, died Monday, July 12, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 64 years old. He was born on April 8, 1946 in Rhinelander a son of Audrey (Pollock) Kubiaczyk and the late Clifford Smith. He married Judy Rupple on June 20, 1970 at St. John Catholic Church in Pelican Lake. She survives.

He attended Elcho High School until serving in the United States Navy from February 25, 1964 to April 7, 1967.

Mr. Smith was employed at Triumph Twist Drill for 24 1/2 years until the plant closed and then became employed at Amron for the past 8 years.

He enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing cards, shooting pool and tending bar.

In addition to his wife and mother survivors include a daughter, Monica Smith, Rhinelander; a son, Clifford Smith, Elcho; and three sisters, Lily Mae Bobber, Appleton, Virginia Greening, Racine and JoAnne Logan, Crystal Falls, MI.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Christine Smith; a brother, Roger Smith; his step-father, Walter Kubiaczyk; three brothers-in-law, Jim Bobber, Don Greening and Jack Logan.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at Bradley Funeral Home with Reverend Jack LaMar officiating. Visitation will be 4 - 8 PM on Friday and 10 - 11 on Saturday at the Bradley Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Elcho Cemetery at a later date. The Elcho Veterans will conduct military rites on following the service at the funeral home.
