Karen Parizek
July 29, 1944 - July 22, 2010

Karen Parizek, of Gleason, died Thursday, July 22, 2010 at her home. She was 65 years old. She was born on July 29, 1944 in Antigo, a daughter of Louis and Bessie (Tichacek) Jacobs. She married Eugene Parizek on May 10, 1969 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill. He survives.

She was a graduate of Antigo High School class of 1962. After high school she cleaned resorts in Minocqua then moved to Milwaukee and worked at Briggs and Stratton. After moving to Gleason Mrs. Parizek worked in Merrill at Church Mutual Insurance for 14 years, Anson-Gilkey Manufacturing also for 14 years then the Merrill Cannery. Most recently she worked at Mills Fleet Farm in Antigo.

She enjoyed walking her dog Chance, working in her flower gardens, camping, fishing, traveling and being outdoors.

Survivors including her husband are a daughter Brenda (Scott) Fleming, Athens; a son Randall Parizek at home; three grandchildren: Cody Parizek, Zackery and Cortney Fleming; two brothers Walter (Susan) Jacobs, Gleason and Dave (Marilyn) Jacobs, Nekoosa, many nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a son Ronald Parizek and a brother, Donald (Rickie) Jacobs.

Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Deerbrook with Rev. Jerome Hahn, officiating. Burial will take place in Forestview Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and Tuesday, 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the church.
