James W. Opichka, lifelong resident of Antigo, died Friday, July 30, 2010 at his home. He was 74 years old. He was born on June 21, 1936 a son of the late Emmanuel and Inez (Bodah) Opichka
He graduated from Antigo High School in 1954 and served in the United States Air force.
Mr. Opichka was the owner of J & M Electric Service. He was a member of the Sparks-Doernenburg American Legion Post #3 and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his sister, Mabel (Edward) Tousignant, Wausau; two nieces, Jean (Robert) Ludtke, Plainfield and Dawn Tousignant, Wausau; a nephew, Dean (Julie) Tousignant, Mosinee; and many great nieces and nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew, James Tousignant.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Strong officiating. Immediately following the service Antigo veterans will conduct military rites. Visitation will be 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at funeral home. Burial will take place in Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville
