Peter Gamble
October 20, 1930 - August 22, 2010

Peter S. Gamble, of Mill Creek, WA died Sunday, August 22, 2010 under hospice care at the age of 79 years. He was born on October 20, 1930 in Wausau a son of the late William and Marion (Stone) Gamble Jr. He married Barbara Cahoon on October 20, 1972 in Seattle, WA. She preceded him in death.

He attended White Lake Schools and graduated from Lake Forest Academy in Lake Forest, IL. Mr. Gamble served in the United States Air Force from January 6, 1951 to November 2, 1953 stationed in Goose Bay, Labrador.

After returning from the service he worked at Yawkey Bissell Lumber Co. until he moved to Seattle, WA. He worked in various sales positions for the lumber and roofing industries retiring as a regional sales manager for Pabco Building Products.

An avid hunter and outdoorsman, he was very active in Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever.

Survivors include stepchildren, Ted and Linda Klumb, Rick and Kristin Cahoon and Mark and Bless Cahoon all of WA; six grandchildren; a sister, Barbara (Andrew) McEachron, Winter Park, FL; a brother, William W. Gamble III, White Lake; and nieces and nephews, Bill, Margy, Nancy, Becky, Mike, Scott, Sandra and Catharine.

In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Marge Gamble.

Entombment will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM.
