Jim Bessert, of Lily, died Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was 55 years old. He was born on June 2, 1955 in Antigo, a son of Elmer and Angeline (Kekula) Bessert.
He was a 1973 graduate of Antigo High School. For the past 7 years he has been employed by HJ Martin and Son, Inc.
He enjoyed Harley Davidson Motor Cycles, camping, cooking, horseback riding and gardening.
In addition to his mother survivors include his significant other, Gale Paul, Lily; eight children, Jamie (Heidi) Bessert, Aniwa, Joshua (Jenny) Bessert, Antigo, Zak (Heidi) Bessert, Antigo, Shanna (Nick) Sebero, Green Bay, Quentin Bessert, Lily, Derek (Stephanie) Bessert, Antigo, Jordan (Rachel) Bessert, Aniwa and Shaylyn Bessert, Wausau; seven grandchildren, Makayla and Bailey Bessert, Kaz and Kyler Bessert, Devin and Paige Sebero and Damian Bessert; three sisters, Audrey Montoure, Carol Muhs and Mary (Larry) Clouse; and five brothers, Bernie (Mary) Bessert, Louie Bessert, Ben (Jodi) Bessert, Edward (Debra) Bessert and Ken Bessert.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother-in-law, Eddie Muhs.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Elmhurst Cemetery, Town of Rolling. Visitation will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
