Janet Pionkowski
July 4, 1919 - September 22, 2010

Janet Pionkowski, of Antigo, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at Rosalia Gardens under the care of their staff, her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 91 years old. She was born on July 4, 1919 in Antigo, a daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Lucht) Frisch. She married Eugene Pionkowski on February 23, 1946 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on November 16, 1996.

She attended Fairview graded school and graduated from Antigo High School in 1937. Mrs. Poinkowski worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Factory in Antigo for 26 years. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, and their Women's Missionary League. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, embroidering. She also enjoyed the time spent with her nieces and nephews and thier children.

Survivors include a sister Shirley Larson and special friend Con Frisch of Antigo; three nieces Sandi (Rick) Warren, Antigo, Wanda (Dorian) Larson-Harper, North Carolina, Diane (Harry) West, Shawano; two nephews Bill (Jill) Smith and Ron Smith both of Nelma; many great neices and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister Linda Smith and a brother Eugene Frisch.

Services will be held on Monday September 27, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Scott Kruse officiating. Burial will take place in Antigo Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and on Monday at the church one hour prior to services.
