Geraldine Fermanich
January 23, 1930 - September 27, 2010

Geraldine J. Gerri Fermanich, of Antigo, passed into eternal life on September 27, 2010 at Rosalia Gardens Assisted Living under the care of LeRoyer Hospice at the age of 80. She was born on January 23, 1930 in Tilleda a daughter of the late William and Agnes (Stoehr) Watters. She married Frederick Fritz Fermanich on September 2, 1950 at Tilleda. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1990.

She was a 1948 graduate of Bowler High School and was a member of Faith United Church of Christ in Antigo, serving many years as a Deaconess.

Mrs. Fermanich and her husband enjoyed their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, particularly the many ball games and athletic events which they consistently attended over the years. In summer, you could find her outside in her gardens, tending the flowers, vegetables and berries. She was a great cook/baker and also enjoyed quilting and Christian services, often combining her trips to visit shut-ins with sharing of flowers and berries from her garden.

Survivors include four sons, Kim (Connie) Fermanich, Antigo, Kelly (Lori) Fermanich, Weston, Keith (Laurel) Fermanich, Shakopee, MN and Ken (Cindy) Fermanich, Chaska, MN; eight grandchildren, Leslie, Darcie, Annie, Jaclyn, Mackenzie, Richelle, Mitchell and Audrey; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Darlene Dolly (Dan) Richards, Tilleda; a brother, George (Florence) Watters, Tilleda; two sisters-in-law, Priscilla Watters, Tilleda and Georgia Callaway, Appleton; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Levi Watters and a brother-in-law, Hal (Hattie) Fermanich.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Church of Christ with Reverend Kathy Rust officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 1 from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at the church. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Antigo.
