Marian Wurtinger
October 12, 1914 - October 28, 2010

Marian Wurtinger, of Antigo, died Thursday, October 28, 2010 at home under the care of her family and LeRoyer Hospice. She was 96 years old. She was born on October 12, 1914 in Antigo, a daughter of the late John and Mabel (Brandow) Kloida. She married Edward Wurtinger Sr. on October 15, 1937 in Antigo. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1999.

She was a homemaker and worked seasonally in potatoes. Mrs. Wurtinger enjoyed reading, gardening, embroidery and crossword puzzels. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters Judith Wilton, Aniwa, Cleo (Lawrence) Adkins, Antigo; four sons Edward (Darlene) Wurtinger Jr., Antigo, Gary Wurtinger, Bryant, Paul (Beverly) Wurtinger, Antigo, Ray (Gloria) Wurtinger, Antigo; 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, John Somer, a daughter-in-law, Elaine Wurtinger, three great grandchildren and a sister, Vivian Wield.

Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. David Karolus officiating. Burial will take place in Bohemian National Cemetery, Antigo. Visitation will be Friday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
