Dominic Maddix
February 11, 1972 - November 3, 2010

Dominic Maddix, of White Lake, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010 as a result of a logging accident on the Menominee Indian Reservation. He was 38 years old. He was born on February 11, 1972 in Antigo, a son of Carol (Mycon) Maddix of Bryant and the late Gary Maddix Sr. He married Katherin Bessert on July 20, 1996 at Ark of the Lord Church in Elton. She survives.

He was a graduate of White Lake High School in 1990.
He worked for the Andy Kostelny farm in White Lake for a number years. For the past 18 years he worked as a logger for the Menominee Tribal Enterprises. Mr. Maddix valued time with his children and with them he enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, four wheeling, gardening, cooking and traveling. He was a member of New Life Central Fellowship Church and was a board member of Central Fellowship Inc.

Survivors including his wife and mother are a son Austin Maddix and a daughter Brennitta Maddix both at home; three brothers Shannon Maddix, Bryant, Gary (Maria) Maddix Jr., White Lake, Todd (Sara) Maddix, White Lake; a sister Becky Eulrich, Antigo; grandmother Harriet Maddix, White Lake; mother and father-in-law Barbara and Kenneth Bessert, Antigo; three sisters-in-law Amy Bessert, Antigo, Carla Bessert, Antigo, Nicole Bessert, Wausau; a brother-in-law Adam (April) Bessert, Antigo; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; his wife's grandmothers Angeline Bessert, Aniwa and Delores Wimmer, Merrill.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by paternal grandfather Woodrow Maddix, maternal grandparents Vivian and Andrew Mycon, his wife's grandfathers Elmer Bessert and Theodore Wimmer.

Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at New Life Central Fellowship with Pastors Ervin and Ardith Messer officiating. Burial will take place in Ark of the Lord Cemetery, Elton. Visitation will be Friday, 4 - 8 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and Saturday, 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
