May Ayotte, of Antigo, died Monday, February 7, 2011 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was 83 years old. She was born on May 4, 1927 in Escanaba, Mich. a daughter of Valentine and Florence (Powers) Sauter. She married Noe John Jack Ayotte on July 6, 1946 in Escanaba, Mich. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1984.
She enjoyed traveling back home to Michigan, going to the casino and flea markets, playing cards and conversation. Family was everything to her, they always came first.
Survivors include seven daughters, Patricia (Tim) Atkinson, Racine, Susie (Tom) Resch, Birnamwood, Jacki (Jim) Cariolano, Spooner, Carol Ayotte, Mosinee, Robin Ayotte, Antigo, Candy (Duane) Behn, Aniwa, Lori (Keith) Rickert, Birnamwood and granddaughter, Alissa (Van) Merritt, Antigo; two sons, Jim (Sharon) Ayotte, Racine and David (Candy) Ayotte, White Lake; a daughter-in-law, Sarah Ayotte, Deerbrook; twenty six grandchildren, Mark, Luke, Kristin, Nicole, James, Jacob, Joseph, Jessica, Ben, Adam, Autumn, Lisa, Stephanie, Heather, Jessica, Turner, BobbyJo, Chastity, Megan, Ashley, Nashali, Kiara, Dioselina, Jackie, Brandy and Rachel; thirty two great grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret LaValley, Wittenberg.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry White and two sons, Mike and Steven Ayotte.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Omer Kelley officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
