"I would like to extend my condolences to each one of Jayne's family members and close friends. I have not seen Jayne since she was in High School,
but I remember her well. I saw her first of all at the Methodist Church that we both attended over
many years and were in activities together. I graduated four years after Jayne, but since she
was a Senior in the Old High School Building when I was in 8th Grade, I remember seeing her in Study Hall, the Restroom, Hallways, etc.
I can picture her now with her short, dark hair,
sweater and plaid skirt with a "beautiful smile"
from ear to ear. She was always so kind to me and everyone. I can also picture her in her Orange and Black Band Uniform with her Trumpet in her hand.
I also remember her playing Basketball. All who knew Jayne Ann were "richly blessed"....

"Jane always made you feel good and had a smile for you when you came to see her! It would amaze me how we were to be there to see to her needs and soon I realized she was checking on us and asking about our family and my parents or kids, she was always so kind.
I took Husker home the first time when Jane went to the hospital and after that he just became a part of the family, she was always concerned he was bothering us but one time when Jane had to go to the nursing home for some rehab he stayed with us for 3 months. My kids thought that was great, actually so did my husband, but Jane and Husker was so happy to see each other and I dont think he left her lap for a long time!!
Jane will be missed, especially that happy smile whenever you saw her!!!!

"There are so many things to remember about Jayne. When I first came to 'town school' for fifth & sixth grades Jayne was very welcoming and inclusive, becoming one of my first friends. While we lost contact while I was in the convent, and then moved several times after grad school to several western states, we had a wonderful time together after our 50th class reunion and had a few phone conversations since. Plus Mom & Pat always kept me informed about her when I asked or they knew some news about her. There were few things that Jayne could not do, and most all of them she did very, very well. She was a most determined person who nurtured a deep faith and geniune love for EVERYONE around her and which she shared very, very generously. While she had a difficult time during parts of her life, she moved on and overcame many obstacles to continously mentor the young at the Methodist Church among other activities. She was truly a standout in our class of '59 as others have said. Can anyone count the number of times Jayne played taps for so many funerals and functions? Her twinkling eyes; quick, broad smile; kind, geniune manner and willingness to do what might need to be done in whatever venue she found herself will never be forgotten by anyone who knew her. Her children have a wonderful example of how to live a faithful life of love well, despite some very, very difficult circumstances. My enduring images of Jayne will always be her quick pull-up jump shot and her gorgeous trumpet playing, especially taps! My condolences to her family: her children and Mary and Bill in particular. How she loved you all! And may she rest in peace! "

"Jayne is my longest time friend, as we knew each other since we were 2 years old and we lived across the alley from each other. We always kept in touch somehow through the years and really reconnected 10 years ago. We shared our ups and downs with each other and talked quite often by phone and visits. I was going to share some good news with her this weekend, but I think she already knew. She will always be on my mind and in my heart. You will be missed Jayne by all those who love you."

"Dear Todd, Chad, Lisa and families, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I live in Monroe, and worked with her at the shelter. I am so shocked to hear of her death which was only a little while ago. My sister-in-law called to extend her sympathy to me as she knew we were such good friends. I did not talk with her this week and was ready to give her a call. I am so saddened, and would have been at the visitation.
Also remembering her sister Mary at this time. God Bless you all, and I will miss her so much, as we talked every week and were trying to get together all winter."

"I will always remember Jayne as being very friendly, from the time we were in high school together, I was a year ahead of her, and she loved to talk and visit whenever you would see her. She was one of the most worldly persons and could always tell you about life as it was. Jayne you will be missed by all who knew you.

"Jayne Ann was a dear friend of mine. We were the fearsome 5. I remember she was not allowed to do as much as some of us, but I remember her & I taking Skippy, her dog, to the park and throwing sticks for him. I remember her as being muti-talented; sports music, art and writing. and she did everything well!! I lived out-of state for 17 yrs and when I moved back, she was the one to always get some of the five together. She would let Jeanne know when Docela was in town & get us together! How much we appreciated her doing that. Jayne Ann's physical & mental health made her a much stronger person. Thank you, Jayne Ann, for being a TRUE friend, I will miss you!"
