Sharion Stalzer
January 7, 1943 - March 21, 2018

Sharion Y. Stalzer, 75, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at her home in Laurel, IA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Marshalltown, IA. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Anderson Funeral Homes in Marshalltown, with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service. Interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Haverhill, IA. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Online condolences may be sent to www.andersonfhs.com.

Sharion was born January 7, 1943, in Marshalltown. She attended the Marshalltown Schools. Sharion was united in marriage to Cyril Stalzer on April 15, 1961, in Marshalltown. She was a homemaker while her children were in school. In her early years, she was employed with ARA Vending Service at Fisher Controls in Marshalltown. Sharion was the manager of the Knights of Columbus. Most recently, she was employed at HyVee in the salad bar area. Sharion was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church. She is a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Haverhill. Sharion was also a member of the Tuesday Afternoon Bowling League. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling. Sharion was known to enjoy a James Patterson book on her deck, drinking coffee, and whistling at the cardinals.

Sharion will be missed by her husband of 56 years, Cy; a daughter, Jennee (Kevin) See of Ankeny; a son, Scott (Melissa) Stalzer of Marshalltown; three grandchildren: Cole, Claire, and Carissa Stalzer; three step grandchildren: Deserae (Justin) Simbro, Spencer (Alyssa) Cooper, Lauren See; three step great grandchildren: Laketon Long, Isbella Long-Simbro, Riley Simbro; and her faithful dog, Angel.
