Mitchell Owen Nelson
December 17, 1981 - April 4, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of Mitchell O Nelson announces his passing on 4/4/18 at the age of 36 years old. Mitchell will always be remembered by his parents John and Debra Nelson, His Son Cameron Nelson, Partner of 19 years Bridget Sweeney, Brother Matthew Nelson (Jennifer) his nieces and nephew, Hailey, Ashley, Matthew JR; Sister Macie Nelson (Chandler), Grandparents Harold and Marian Foster, his many Aunts, Cindy, Karen, Kathy, Uncle Kevin and his cousins Jamie, Ella,Jordan, Alisha,Heather, Andrew (NikkI) and all of their children. McKenna (David), Taylor, Evie and Bridget's Parents Tina and Dennis (Oscar) Sweeney and brother Casey Sweeney.

Many knew him as Mitch or Mitchy Slick, a man who could light up a room with his outgoing personality, smile of gold, and an unforgettable laugh. Mitch grew up between Federal Way and West Seattle/ White Center. settling in White Center for most of his adult life. Mitch was a champion swimmer, swimming for Thomas Jefferson H.S and King Aquatic Club . He attended Truman H.S in Federal Way, WA where he met his partner Bridget. They went on to have their son, Mitch's pride and joy Cameron. He enjoyed nothing more than having his "mini" by his side and taking him along on whatever adventure they could create. Mitch entered the workforce in his teen years as a mover and worked his way up through the moving industry. He took a break and joined his brother Matt at then Todd's shipyard in the Transportation Department, helping build one of the ferries for WA state. Mitch was a die hard Oakland Raiders fan and loved to challenge anyone who doubted his team. The family will be holding a celebration of life for Mitch in the upcoming month, all are welcome to attend.
