Keith P. Keenan
May 21, 1946 - April 20, 2018

Keith Patrick Keenan passed away on Friday, April 20, 2018, at the age of 71. He was born on May 21, 1946 and was the eldest child of Hollis and Betty (Cooper) Keenan. Keith graduated from Grinnell High School in 1964. Following graduation he joined the Iowa National Guard. Keith worked for Iowa Southern Electric Company. After retiring, he farmed south of Grinnell. Throughout his life Keith had several hobbies. He also loved attending livestock auctions and listening to the auction chant of his longtime friend, Kyle McCuen. When he wasn't out and about, you could usually find him watching old westerns on TV.
Those left to honor his memory include his children, Lawrence Keenan of Austin, MN, Peggy Bird of LaPlata, MD, Keith Charles Keenan of Austin, MN, Aaron Keenan of Austin, MN and Meagan (Jeff) Tindle of Montezuma, IA; a step son, Neil (Buddy) Carr and his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Keith is also survived by his siblings, Kirk (Sue) Keenan of Kellogg, IA, Kenny (Cathy) Keenan of Kellogg, IA, Kathy (Jim) Patten of Brooklyn, IA, Kim Hall (Marvin Lind) of Colfax, Iowa and Kristy (Nick) Figland of Kellogg, IA along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his nephew, Nathan Figland.
A celebration of Keith's life will be held at a later date.
