Funeral services for Bro. Roger Dale Anderson, age 74, of Livingston will be conducted 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Kerry Duke will officiate. Burial will be in the Netherland Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home.
Roger passed from this life on Sunday morning, April 29, 2018 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born in Putnam County on June 20, 1943 to the late Comer Edward & Dorcas Alene Kirby Anderson. Roger was a 1961 graduate of Livingston Academy and held an Associates Degree in Business. Roger, like his father was minister for many years in the Churchs of Christ. His very first church was at Swallows Chapel Church of Christ then to Flatt Creek Church of Christ, Neelys Crossroads, Albany Church of Christ, Netherland Church of Christ and back to Neelys Crossroad Church of Christ. He also was a broker, realtor and sold cars for many years. Roger also enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family and teaching the good news of Christ.
He leaves his daughter, Kim Hampton & husband Gregg of Kingsport, TN; sons, Eddie "Ed" Anderson, Chris Anderson both of Livingston, TN & Shannon Anderson & wife Andrea of Kingston, TN; grandchildren, Amber Hall & husband Travis, Kendra Edgell & husband Todd, Alyssa Anderson Sebastian & husband Ed, Abby Anderson, Annabelle Anderson & Brandon Anderson; great grandchild, Sadie Edgell; brother, Gary Edward Anderson & wife Gloria of Henderson, TN; and former wife Brenda Winningham of Rickman, TN.
In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Joyce Anderson & brother, John Mark Anderson.
