Tami Jean Howey, 52, of Charles City, Iowa, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018, at her home in Charles City.
She was born July 19, 1965, in Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of Kenneth and Sheryl (Hansen) Ayers. Tami graduated from Dumont High School in 1984. She was saved (born again) while attending gospel meetings at Stout Gospel Hall in 1981. Tami was united in marriage to Mike Howey on April 6, 1991. They later divorced. She worked at Comprehensive Systems in Charles City for several years. Tami loved spending time with her family, especially her two granddaughters.
Tami is survived by her daughter Kendra Howey of Charles City, granddaughters Lexi and Lea of Bristow, parents Kenneth and Sheryl Ayers of Bristow, brothers Brian (Lori) Ayers of Dumont and Jamey Ayers of Bristow, nephew Dustin Ayers and nieces Bailey, Kalen, Ava and Ahna Ayers.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, brother David Ayers and nephew Brandon Ayers.
