"A little over a year now since Keith?s passing and I still can?t help but think of him from time to time wishing I could talk to him or ask advise of him. I got to know Keith in college and we hit it off which led to many visits back and forth and we kept in contact for many years. Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be held at the Shenandoah United Methodist Church on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be directed to the family.
Keith Raymond Whitehill was born on November 14, 1971 at the Hand Hospital in Shenandoah, Iowa, the son of Dale and Jane (Reynolds) Whitehill. Keith entered into eternal peace on April 29, 2018 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Keith's early years were spent on the family farm in rural Shenandoah. He was involved in the Shenandoah Teamsters and Tri-M's 4-H Club and the Davis-Rodgers FFA Chapter. Keith also enjoyed playing youth baseball on the Northboro and Shenandoah Youth Leagues. He graduated from Shenandoah High School with The Class of 1990. He later went on to attend Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls. He received his Associates Degree in 1992 in Swine and Farm Management. He then returned to Shenandoah to pursue his passion of farming.
As a young man Keith helped his Dad on the farm raising hogs and cattle and growing corn and soybeans. He loved to help his neighbors with bailing hay, walking beans and any other help that was needed. After college Keith worked for several hog operations and then came home to farm. He had several other jobs including working at Con-Ag, Imperial, Eatons and Henry Fields. He also did custom hay work. The only thing that could trump his enthusiasm for farming, was when he became a father. Mark and Ashley were the loves of his life. Everything he did was always for their best interest.
Most recently Keith was a member of the Summit United Methodist Church. Some of his other passions included collecting anything related with Farmall/International Harvestors Tractors and Equipment and watching the Kansas City Royals play baseball. One of his fondest memories was going to the 2014 Kansas City Royals Wild Card Game with his brother Larry. The Royal won that game in 12 innings!
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Esther Whitehill and Earl and Helen (Davidson) Reynolds.
Those left to honor his memory include his beloved children Mark and Ashley Whitehill of Shenandoah; his father Dale Whitehill of Shenandoah; mother Jane Smith of Shenandoah; brothers Charles Joseph Whitehill of Lancaster, PA and Larry Whitehill of Roland, IA; companion Ruth Wathen of Shenandoah; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

"To the Whitehill Family, So sorry to hear about your loss. I knew Keith for several years but have lost touch since I moved away. I knew Keith to be a kind, honest, peaceful friend. I know that he was a Christian (a child of God) and always tried to go to church. Although we haven't talked in years I know he is in Heaven now. I have talked to some people back home and have been troubled to learn what Keith has had to endure the last several years. It sounds like not by his own choice. I know Keith is done with court here on earth but I believe Keith has appealed to the Highest Supreme Court and is now standing in front of the highest Judge there is (Almighty God) with his Advocate by his side (Jesus Christ). God knows what Keith has been put through. God knows all the lies, the deceit, and the flat out evil that has been charged against him by those here on earth. Romans 12:19 says "Dearly Beloved, avenge not yourselves, but leave room for the wrath of God, vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord". When God executes judgement upon those who come against Gods children, there is no escape, no appeal and no where to run. You can not intimidate, threaten or sue God like you do to everyone else who you disagree with. If there are those out there who get defensive about the truth, then they must be guilty. The truth always hurts. I feel sorry for the innocent children in this world who are caught in the middle. Its not their fault they have ignorant, selfish, stupid, evil parents who only use their children as pawns and as hostages until they get what they want. I believe God protects these innocent children from the sins that have been passed down from one generation to the next. In Matthew 18:10, Jesus states " See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for their angels in Heaven continually see the face of My Father who is in Heaven. Again in Matthew 18:6, Jesus warns " who ever causes one of these little ones to stumble, who believe in Me , it would be better for him to have a heavy milestone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. Also God hates the shedding of innocent blood or the attempt too regarding one of these innocent children in the world. God knows the truth of Keiths court cases here on earth and is now deliberating in Heaven to reach a verdict. Gods justice takes time but it is always perfect and just! I would hate to be in the shoes of those who come against Gods children. It hasn't turned out too well for those in the bible who have tried. I know the entire public of Page, Fremont and Taylor Counties know the Whitehills to be an honest, loving and peaceful family who have been involved with the church since the 1850s. Just read the history books at the library. Its public knowledge. If you don't believe me just ask anyone who knows the Keith Whitehill family. What a shame that Keith had to die as a result of this extra stress that was placed upon him, but maybe that was their plan all along, from what I'm told. I continue to pray for those who have come against Gods children, that they may also repent and come to know the Lord. I believe they are now on the clock. Rest in Peace Keith, Gods on the case now!
