Patricia "Peggy" Arlene Chambers
May 17, 1943 - April 29, 2018

Patricia "Peggy" Arlene Chambers, 74, of Burlington, died 5:15 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Parkview Care and Rehabilitation Center in Wellman, IA.
Mrs. Chambers was born May 17, 1943 in Ottumwa, IA. She was the daughter of Roswell R. and Martha L. (Hankammer) Thompson.
She lived in Topeka, KS from 1962-1967, Tucson, AZ from 1967-1968, Okinawa, Japan from 1968-1972, Fairfield, CA from 1972-1973 and Homestead, FL from 1973-1977 before moving to Burlington in 1977. She attended Miami Dade College and Florida Eastern Community College. In 1973 she joined the Army. She was an Army National Guard recruiter from 1979-1981. She retired in 1993.
Peggy and Al were goat farmers and showed their goats nationwide. She loved to collect Coca-Cola items and being on the computer searching ancestry and hunting for food coupons.
She is survived by one child, Throung Nyugen of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Jodi Chambers and Jaylne Chambers of Burlington; sisters, Mary Fenton of Ottumwa and Betty Lester of Omaha, NE; brother Jack Thompson of Marshalltown; nieces, nephews and cousins.
According to her wishes, cremation will be accorded following the funeral service.
