In loving memory of

Arnold E. Van Pay
November 15, 1930 - May 14, 2018

Arnold E. Van Pay, age 87, passed away May 14, 2018 after a 10-year struggle with cancer. He was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Hazel (Williquette) and Elmer and was a life long Packer fan.
He was married for 65 years to the love of his life, Janice (King). They brought up 7 children in the West Seattle area: David (Hui Cha), Beth, Don (Karla), Bart (Edie), Jeff (Cassie), Andy (Kay) and Annmarie (Curt). They have 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death this year by his older brother, Donald.
Arnie loved salmon fishing in the ocean and playing golf near their Safari Campground home in Seaview, WA, where the potlucks with friends were always at their place. He and Janice traveled the United States in their trailer after retirement, before settling on Yuma for their winters. He was a Bob Ross oil painter and an avid pie eater. He could fix anything and had a teasing sense of humor that lasted through it all.
Arnie worked as a bus driver in Green Bay and a truck driver in Seattle where he was a member of the Teamsters. He served in the Korean War as an Air Force Airman First Class.
He asked to be cremated and buried in the Mt. Tahoma National Cemetery in Covington. He has requested that instead of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
