Cynthia "Cindy" Willms, 57, of Bondurant, formerly of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
She was born December 20, 1960, in Ames, Iowa, to James and Charlotte (Johnson) Nutty. Cindy graduated from Hampton High School in 1979 and received a degree in interior design at Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo. She worked at Bergos Department Store in Mason City and Strawberry Patch in Ankeny. Cindy also did craft shows with her sister Kim called "Crafty Sisters". She enjoyed vegetable gardening, travelling, crafting and spending time with her family, especially her only grandson Lucas.
Cindy is survived by her husband Charlie Willms of Bondurant, daughter Letha (Brandon) Patterson of Bondurant, son Joseph Willms of Des Moines, grandson Lucas Patterson of Bondurant, mother Charlotte Nutty of Ames, brother David (Rita) Nutty of Omaha, sister Kimberly (Kurt) Mollenbeck of Latimer, father-in-law Ernie (Charlene) Willms of Hampton, brother-in-law Mike (Julie) Willms of Clear Lake, nephews and nieces Alyssa, Brianna, Tyler, Brett, Katie, Kyle, Emily, Ashley and Kyle, great niece Kinley and great nephews Jackson and William.
She was preceded in death by her father James Nutty and infant son Douglas Charles Willms.
