"My sister, Beverly Shapiro, left the living world on May 19th, 2018. She has had any number of physical issues, but always overcame them and continued on her journey. Finally, after a "good-bye tour" to Florida, Philadelphia and Harrisburg PA, she entered the hospital in Seattle Washington and basically her body gave out. She was one of the most intelligent people I've known in my life time. She had a special gift in medicine, to be able to feel or sense what was wrong with someone, prior to the usual battery of test. She leaves her Daughter Elissa Arch, her son-in-law Ken Arch and their children Mitchell and Adam. Also her son, Aubrey Cohen, his wife Fiona, and their children Jed and Harriett. Also her dear cousin Karen Kaushansky. BEv moved from Philadelphia to Seattle about 2014 and had a "grandma" apartment (very nice!) in Aubrey's home. Bev had a great heart, a love for out of the way restaurants, and a yearning that flickered but never died. She said to her dear friend, Roberta (nee) Santlofer, that she, Bev, had difficulty in life, and particularly in the medical profession, because she saw more than most people, and found it very difficult to explain to them what she saw/knew or getting them to believe her. She was a dear loving sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, cousin, etc. BEv, I miss the talks that one could have with a sister, who always supported me and gave me frank and loving advice. The world was a far better place for your having been here. Rest in peace, though I suspect your soul is still fluttering around. Love Larry "
