MUSCATINE, Iowa - Jason Eugene Curtis, 61, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Unity Point Hospital, Muscatine.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018, in Greenwood Cemetery Veterans Section with military rites provided by the combined squads of the American Legion Post No. 27 and the V.F.W. Post No. 1565. The Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Amanda Curtis.
Jason was born on December 17, 1956, in Muscatine, the son of Donald and Barbara Wedekind Curtis.

He served in the US Army from 1975 until 1978, where he served in Korea. He later worked for the Muscatine County Highway Department and owned and operated CJ's Body Shop for years.

Those left to honor his memory include his daughter, Amanda Curtis and wife, Ashley, of Muscatine; one brother, Donald 'Butch' Curtis and wife, Jade, of Panama City, Florida; one sister, Susan Marie Miller and husband, Mitch, of Taylor Ridge, Illinois; three nephews, Korey Miller, Jared James Curtis, and Travis Reed; and two nieces, Stacey Miller Anderson and Tiffany Reed.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
