Jack L. Hall
December 15, 1931 - June 4, 2018

Jack L. Hall, 86, of Burlington, went to his heavenly home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 4, 2018.
Born December 15, 1931 in Macomb, IL, he was the son of Arbon B. and Marie (Kimbal) Hall. He married Evelyn B. Prox on August 20, 1949 at Grace United Methodist Church in Burlington, IA. She preceded him in death on December 4, 2012.
Jack graduated from Burlington High School and attained his Associate's Degree from Southeastern Community College. He worked as a lab technician for 36 years at Mason & Hanger and Atomic Energy Commission. Earlier in life he was a member of First Assembly of God Church and later for 30+ years, Church of the Open Bible. He served on the board, taught Sunday school and was an elder. Jack was an avid reader, with a small home library. He read through the Bible many times and was an unofficial expert on Abraham Lincoln history and Biblical history. He was very giving, supporting many charities including Red Cloud Indian School and International Fellowship for Christians and Jews.
His devotion to the Lord and his family is a living legacy for generations to come and a testament of his love and faith.
Survivors include four sons, Jack (Becky) Hall of Macomb, IL, Rick (Kelly) Hall, David (Linda) Hall, and Jeff Hall; daughter, Beth (Roger) Hecox all of Burlington; Nineteen grandchildren; forty eight great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; a half-sister, Marsha Pruitt of Danville, IA; and two sister in laws, Martha Rente and Donna Prox.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson, a brother, two sisters, and a half-sister.
The Graveside funeral service for Mr. Hall will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Claypoole Cemetery in Rural Wever, Iowa. Rev. Randy Gearhart will officiate. Visitation will be 5-7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7th at Lunning Chapel.
A memorial has been established for Great River Christian School.
