Esther C. Tracy age 90 of Maquoketa Iowa died on Thursday morning September 302004.0 at the Maquoketa Care Center in Maquoketa Iowa.



A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday October 22004.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa with Celebrant/Chaplain Rev. Ruth Ann Scott of Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M. on Friday October 12004.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa Iowa. Burial will be in the East Iron Hill Cemetery Rural Maquoketa Iowa.



Esther C. Sonnemaker was born on June 171914.0 in Clarence Iowa to Charlie Sonnemaker and Emma (Klinkhammer) Sonnemaker. She attended and graduated from Clarence High School. She married Clifford A. Tracy on August 31 1932 in Moline Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 12 2003.



Esther was a homemaker and had farmed with her late husband in the Cedar Grove area rural Maquoketa all of their married lives until retiring to Maquoketa in 1979. They raised 9 children. She enjoyed gardening- especially roses watching television doing yard work and spending time with her family.



She is survived by: children- Shirley (Mrs. Keith) Crowe of Amery WI Maxine (Mrs. Don F.) Miller of Maquoketa IA Delores (Mrs. Richard) DeLarm of Onslow IA Leona (Mrs. Tom) Soppe of Miamiburg OH Jerald(Jan) Tracy of Cedar Rapids IA Burton Tracy of Holmen WI & Mark(Nettie) Tracy of Onslow IA; 1 Brother-In-Law- Walter Hayward of Maquoketa IA; 31 Grandchildren 42 Great-Grandchildren & 20 Great-Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband 2 sons- Carlyle & Darryl 2 infant daughters 1 great-grandchild- Fauna & 1 sister- Eloise.



An Esther C. Tracy Memorial Fund has been established.
