Katherine "Kat" L. Parham
January 30, 1960 - June 21, 2018
Katherine (Kat) L. Parham passed away suddenly on June 21, 2018 at her home in Dania Beach, FL. A beautiful soul who was compassionate about those she loved, both human and animals. An aesthetician by trade, Kat worked hard to obtain both her Florida and California licenses, eventually becoming an instructor at a local school and the lead aesthetician and office manager at a spa in Alameda, CA.
Kat loved to rescue animals and fought to prevent the cruelty to animals. Kat was a strong supporter of PETA and worked hard to get the message out about animal testing, refusing to purchase products from companies that conducted such testing. During the last ten years of her life, she rescued 16 animals, all that she referred to as her animal children.
Born in Tampa on January 30, 1960, to the late Richard Escobio and Nina Kay Parham, Kat grew up in the Tampa and New Port Richey, Florida areas, where she loved the being in or near the water. After time spent in Tampa, Japan, and Baltimore, Kat settle back in Florida. She met her husband, Robert Crumley in Key West in 2001 and after rekindling their love in 2008, got married in Hudson, FL on August 2, 2008. Robert's Coast Guard career took them to Jacksonville, FL, back to Key West, a four-year tour in the San Francisco Bay Area, and to the Miami area until her death.
Kat is survived by her husband of 10 years, Robert Crumley, animal children Treet, Trinity, Haze, Bella, Marty, Thee Thee, Merlin, Winston, and Sabrina. Her son Jaime Tate, daughter-in-law Brooke Tate, and granddaughter Jessica Tate. Her mother Nina Kay Parham, and her brothers Richard (Rick) and John (Jack) Parham.
Kat is preceded in death by her biological father Richard Escobio, adopted father James Parham, and her animal children Coco, Brandi, Tristian, Baby, Trigger, Cinco, Trey, Dakota, and Giuseppe.
A private ceremony will be held in Tampa with a burial at sea.

"Sweetie,
I can't believe it has been a month since you crossed over. The girls, boys, and I miss you so much. The world lost an angel on the day, while heaven gained the most awesome soul it could ever receive. I wish I could touch your face, give you a kiss, hear your voice, and hold your hand. I truly miss so many of the small things we all take for granted. If I knew I would never see you, hear your voice, hold your hand, or kiss you again, I would have never let that night end. I know you are happy, healed, enjoying time with our families and our babies, but we miss you so much down here too. I will always love you, cherish the times we had together, and look forward to the day we meet once more. You can tell me all about what has been going on as you can see what is happening here. I love you so much and miss you too. I think about you everyday. Rest in Peace Sweetie and until we meet again, know we all love you so much! Watch over us Sweetie and keep us safe."

"I love you Sweetie. Words can never describe the love I have for you nor the love you showed to many others. You had a heart of gold and care about others more than yourself. I can not wait until the day we are able to see each other again. Please tell our babies that Daddy loves them and will see them again. Until we meet again Sweetie, I will always love you."
