In loving memory of

Sandra Serna-Yeomans
September 25, 1956 - July 1, 2018

Sandra Regina Serna-Yeomans passed away with her daughters at her bedside on the afternoon of July 1, 2018 in Seattle, Washington.

She grew up in Southern California with her mom, two sisters and two brothers. She went to Mark Keppel High School and participated on the drill team. She attended Sonora State majoring in psychology..

Sandra briefly worked with Iron Eyes Cody, the Native American actor, before she began her career as a counselor in the California State Youth Authority. She dedicated 25 years of her life serving as a Correctional Peace Officer before retiring in 2008 as a Lieutenant.

She was dedicated to serving the Lord in all areas of her life. She truly personified unconditional love, often volunteering to help organize and participate in activities to foster community at her church.

While balancing a demanding job and actively serving her community, Sandra ensured her daughters were able to pursue anything that enriched their lives, from girl scouts, to sports and music - she fervently supported their continued growth and showered them with love.

Sandra's greatest joy was being surrounded by friends and family - especially the children. She spent her retirement enjoying adventures with her grand children and great nephews and nieces. She always made sure they were well-fed, had clothes that fit and had the means to find their own happiness.

She is survived by her former husband, two daughters, two grandchildren and numerous loving relatives and close friends.
