"I would like to express my sadness in learning of the passing of dear, sweet Nan. We were classmates and shared a birthday as mine is June 3. While she was working at the newspaper, I could always count on her to help me out with all sorts of questions as I live out in Oregon. Man was very special. We were all fortunate to know her. My God help you through this difficult time! Margie Yocum Nelson"

"Nan, my dear friend, may you rest in peace. We were friends from 1st grade through high school. We were roommates in Davenport in our "career" days. You were my maid of honor and I was your bridesmaid. We compared notes on child-raising. As adults we drifted apart, but with roots like we had, there has always been a special spot in my heart for you. Ryan, Jennifer, Colin, Cam and Liam, your mom (grandmother) was a very special woman. Always remember her kindness, gentleness and mostly her love for you. Ryan, I went to see her on Memorial Day weekend and she spoke to me about how proud she was of you. Marcia Heide Bloore"
