Tarix A. Matute, 82, of Davenport, FL, passed away on July 11, 2018 in Lakeland, FL.
Tarix was born San Pedro Sula, Honduras to Abraham and Rosalba Matute on May 30, 1936. He married Marielena Castellanos on January 11, 1976 in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He was a driver for Ogden/Sky Chefs for 30 years and after he retired he began working in the hospitality industry for 25 years. He retired from the Omni Hotel Champions Gate on May 19, 2018.
Tarix is preceded in death by his parents Abraham and Rosalba Matute, his brothers, Tiofilo, Andres, Cesar, and Walter Matute.
Tarix is survived by wife, Marielena Matute, children: son Taris Matute his wife Ana Matute and Daughter Elizabeth Matute. Daughter Zoraida Matute and Husband Kevin Nicholls, Son Tarix Matute jr., Son, Jerson Matute and wife Monica Otero-Matute, Son Dennis Matute and wife Deibys Matute, His Sisters Julia Matute and Greta Matute, his Grandchildren Jimmy Guardado, Eric Matute and Jordan Nicholls, Joshua Matute, Marcello Matute, and Jalyssa Matute. Adriana Matute and Jasmine Matute, Javier Matute, Guillermo Matute, Ana Matute, and Sandra Matute Great Grand Children, Adriel, William, Kayla and Daniel. Newphew/Son Rony Matute and Wife Ondina Matue and their son Rodnie Matute and daughter Julia Matute.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Fred Hunter Ft. Lauderdale Home 718 S. Federal Highway Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Fred Hunter Ft. Lauderdale Home with the Pastor Jose of Calvary Chapel, officiating. Burial will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Fred Hunters Funeral Home.
