Clarice V. Laue, 95, of Burlington, IA died Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
She was born on May 17, 1923 in Wyaconda, Mo., to Thaddeus and Lena (Battner) Turner. She married Edgar Laue on May 12, 1948 in Wapello, Iowa.
Clarice graduated from Wyaconda High School in 1941. She worked for Champion Spark Plug for 30 years and was a member of the West Burlington Christian Church. She loved to play the piano for various senior groups including the Sweet Adeline's. She never missed a garage sale and loved bargain shopping. She was a member of the Moose Club and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Edgar; daughters, Diane Rhodes of West Burlington, and Peggy Harvey of Burlington; six Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; one Great-Great Grandchild and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Bernice.
A memorial has been established for the Burlington Senior Center.
