Judy Karen Woodard, 63, of Ridgeway, died Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Mayo Health Systems surrounded by family. Judy was born December 18, 1954 in Winona to Harold and Betty Oldendorf. She grew up outside of Winona. Judy attended school in Pickwick, graduated from Winona High, and received a degree as a medical secretary from Winona Vo-Tech. She met the love of her life, John Woodard, and soon after the two were married on October 7, 1972. They raised five boys together on the family farm outside of Ridgeway. Judy was not afraid to do any chore asked of her on the farm. Her favorite pastimes were gardening, baking, and sewing. She treasured her time taking care of their many grandchildren. Every grandchild felt special when Grandma was around. She also never let a day go by without talking to her sister, Jean.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, John; sons, Michael, Josh (Jamie), Christopher (Amy), Dusty (Gabrielle), Jesse (Alysia); grandchildren, Brady, Maci, Bowen, Jaden, Clayton, Eliza, Emma, Dalton, Henry, Hickory, Arlo, Clara; sisters, Jean, Joy. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday August 9 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Pickwick. Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.
