RUSHFORD, MN - Betty R. Lindh, 60, of Rushford, MN and formerly of Houston, MN was called home to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at her home.
Betty was born on April 21, 1958, in St. Paul, MN to Matthew and Monnie (Welden) Gerten. She was raised in Cottage Grove, MN. Betty graduated from Hastings High School in 1976 in Hastings, MN. She was a co valedictorian and played French horn in the band. Betty attended Northwestern College in St. Paul for two years. She was united in marriage with Tom Lindh in Hastings, MN on October 25, 1980. Betty worked at Computype in Roseville, MN as a type setter for several years. She worked for many years as a paraprofessional at public schools in Lake City, MN and Houston, MN. Betty truly loved her job. Due to her illness she retired from Houston Schools in March of 2017. She and Tom moved to Rushford in the Spring of 2018. Betty was a very humble and loving person who put everyone else's needs ahead of her own. She loved her family and was longing to be with her Lord.
Betty is survived by her husband, Tom; parents: Matthew and Monnie Gerten of Welch, MN; three children: Stacy (Jonathan) Bailey of Leavenworth, KS, Brian (Kelsey) Lindh of Fairmont, MN, and Kevin Lindh of Houston, MN; two granddaughters: Emma and Meredith Bailey; and three siblings: Joyce Gerten of Minneapolis, MN, Shirley (Joe) Duray of Hastings, MN, and David (Denise) Gerten of Excelsior, MN.
There will be a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Pleasant Valley Church in Winona, MN. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at Hoff Funeral Service in Rushford and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
