Funeral Services for Mr. Aaron Donald George, age 83, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston. Bro. Hillier Duke will officiate. Burial will be in the Overton County Memorial Garden. The family will welcome friends on Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m., then on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
Donald passed from this life on Thursday evening, August 23, 2018 at his home surrounded by the people who loved him most. He was born in Overton County on May 4, 1935, to the late Oliver & Ether Smith George. He was a 1953 graduate of Livingston Academy and a member of the Livingston First Baptist Church. He served his country in the Army. Donald started working for Speck Funeral Home in 1963 as an Insurance Salesman, then becoming a Licensed Funeral Director shortly after. He retired from Speck Funeral Home in 2006. Donald loved to feed and watch birds and be with his family and grandchildren. He always loved meeting, talking and serving the families at Speck Funeral Home for many years.
Donald leaves his beloved of 36 years, Faye Anderson of Livingston, TN; daughters, Alisa Eldridge of Livingston, TN, and Rhonda Roberts & husband Allen of Livingston, TN; grandchildren, Alison Mason, Adrian McGill, Aleia Eldridge, and Braydon Eldridge; great grandchildren, Evie and Luie Mason; sister, Frances Martin of Livingston, TN; step daughter, Amanda West & husband John of Livingston, Tn; and several neices and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his brothers,Edward, Lloyd, and Mayford George; sisters, Marnie George, Clara Broom, Stella Egan, Odean Greenwood, Ruby Neely, Melsie Crabtree, Lucille Peterman, Lois Seber, and Bessie Winningham, and several nieces and nephews. Special care giver Brittany Cannon.
Pallbearers to serve are Allen Roberts, Brent Linder, John West, Mark Hambridge, Bruce Seber, and Mark Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Family & Staff at Speck Funeral Home.
Memorial Donations may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Hospital and the Alzheimers Foundation.
