Mario Shawn Hayden Sr.

Mario Shawn Hayden, Sr. 47, of Seattle, WA, passed away on 27 August 2018 in Graham, WA.

Mario Shawn Hayden Sr. was born in Baton Rouge, LA to Leroy Hayden and Marie Hayden (Drew) on 2 November 1971. He graduated from James A. Garfield High School in Seattle, WA. He married Michelle Ameerah Cummingham on 1 December 2010 in Seattle, WA. He attended Long Beach City College and the Art Institute in Las Vegas, NV. He worked as an Associate Member for Department of Human Services (DHS) in Aging and Disability and obtained his CDL truck driver's license in Tacoma, WA and worked in Butte, Montana until he was unable to work. He was a very proud military veteran who served in the U.S. Marines Corps. He was a Logistics and Transportation Specialist. He was involved in the Boy & Girls Club and a 3rd Degree Master Mason. Mario enjoyed traveling the countryside, he had a love for music and singing. One of his favorite songs was by Teddy Pendergrass "Loving Somebody" which grew into his favorite saying of "I Love who Love Me Back".

Mario is preceded in death by his father Leroy Hayden and his loving grandmother Helen P. Donaldson.

Mario is survived by his spouse Michelle Hayden, His children and their spouses Mario Hayden Jr and his spouse, Isis Mack and her spouse, Desire' Hayden, Mya Hayden, Monica Hayden, Kristyn Taylor, and Kia Taylor, His brother and sisters Ron R. Brooks and his spouse, Tiuahni Flavors and her spouse, Shamala Brooks, His mother Marie W. Drew, His Grandchildren Aaron Mack Jr and Granddaughter Imani Mack, several Nephews and Nieces, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ron R. Brooks, Ferron Flavors Sr., Desean Brooks, Mario Hayden Jr, Raymond McCoy, Eddie L Saucer, Michael Cummingham, and Kevin Stennis

Memorials may be sent to 20201 96th Ave E., Graham, WA 98338. The family of Mario Hayden wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Cascade Memorial Staff, Argossy Cruises for Veterans, Palliative Care, special thanks to Dr. Goodman and his nurses who was with him for years until the end, and the VA Hospice staff.

Crematory Service will depart at 10:30am, Saturday, 8 September 2018 at Argossy Cruises- Seattle Waterfront, 1101 Alaskan Way Pier 55, Seattle, WA 98101. Sprinkling of remains will be at 11:00am on board the Argossy Veterans Cruise. Arrangements are by Cascade Memorial Home, 1109 South 348th Street, Suite A, Federal Way, WA 98003.
